One word to describe Footscray

This article is a part of Your Footscray – an initiative of the Footscray Business Reference Group supported by Regional Rail Link

We’re half-way through our first series of interviews with the #YourFootscray ambassadors, so we thought we’d take a moment to ask a simple question.

What one word would you use to describe Footscray?

According to our ambassadors, it’s harder than you think to condense Footscray into one word, but they gave it a go!

Kevin Tran: Goldmine – right here, right now.

Tony Cavallaro: Friendly.

Matt Bodiam: Embracing, untouched and surprising – and I don’t mean that in a bad way.

Melanie Bodiam: The sense of community here surprised me a lot. It’s so friendly and embracing. I think it’s been forgotten for so long that people are now enjoying the fact that other people are finding it.

Rozenn Blouin: Multicultural.

Abdul Hussen: Diverse.

John & Paul: We can’t keep to just one word… Wonderful, historic, central, race courses, shopping, beaches, show and zoo.
