I am Renae Shadler, a Melbourne based performer/performance maker and I’m collaborating with Bec Jensen a dancer/dance maker. Together we are making In-ya-ear, an interactive sound and performance installation at Footscray Station supported by Maribyrnong City Council. The work aims to connect strangers in public spaces in a fun and engaging way. It will be happening from the 29th of October till the 3rd of November at 11-2pm each day. In-ya-ear is getting pretty big and fantastic and we need helpers!
We ask commuters if they would like to plug their iPod into a portable speaker and share their music with those around them. We are looking for a group of movers to respond to the music when it is played. We will meet at 10.30am on the performance dates to rehearse some quick spurts of fun, simple, yet effective, choreography.
Helpers needed: The more the better!
2. Strange not Strange
An intimate performance for two commuters who follow a series of audio instructions. It will happen in a small room on the platform and last for only 3 minutes. We need people to run the soundtrack and facilitate the work.
Helpers needed: 2
Rob, our rad sound designer, has created a verbatim sound work that people can download or listen to on headphones at stands on the platform. We need people to mind the headphones.
Helpers needed: 2
4. Candy Crush
We have created a human Candy Crush game that needs people to help run. This is an outgoing role for confident people and sure to be a lot of fun.
