100 years teaching Footscray

Did you get your start at Victoria University or the original Footscray Technical School?

Victoria University is celebrating its centenary and showcasing its rich history teaching our community in an exhibition at the newly renovated VU@MetroWest space on Nicholson Street.

The Door of Opportunity: 1916-2016 will run from 2 December 2014 for two years.

It reflects that while VU traces its origins directly from Footscray Technical School, it is an amalgam of many predecessor institutions, each of which has brought something distinctive to the university.

VU invites you to be part of the exhibition by sharing your stories, photos, news clippings, memorabilia or other artefacts from the last 100 years of the university and its beloved antecedents.
